In my last trip to India in Feb 2014, I got an opportunity to see the work done by IDRF in which they have built a hostel in hapur, UP to provide free residence and education to girls showing academic potential. Most of these girls came from Northeastern states of India and are either orphans or their parents are not financially capable of feeding or educating them.These girls are loved here, they are very smart and understand their social and moral duties, and they graduate from here, go back to their villages, open up a single teacher school under a tree and give back to society. I got so inspired that i came back to US and started raising funds for the girls in this hostel so that more such girls can be brought and educated in this hostel. Kudos to IDRF for the wonderful work. I have shared my experience at the Facebook page in case someone else wants to extend the help to this genuine effort
