Review for Childrens Cancer Community, Sonoma, CA, USA
When your child is diagnosed with Cancer you feel like you are on island that no one has been to or knows how to find. With the help of the Children's Cancer Community our family realized we weren't alone. This group provided activities for the whole family. We didn't have to worry about people staring at us or if the event would be too expensive for our budget, they were there to help. The camaraderie that we shared during the monthly meetings was healing for everyone in our family. A child's catastrophic illness within a family effects each member and each member of our family was acknowledged. Thank for fond memories during a dark time.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
more ways than I could list. I am a believer in the goals of Children's Cancer Community.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
not.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the non-judgemental, easy-going, flow of the environment. Whenyour life is hectic, you don't need more problems. The people we met always seemed to make things seem a little brighter.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Outstanding. You could tell that the people involved wanted to be there and enjoyed working with kids of all ages.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
help so many families that fall between the cracks. And, provide a shoulder for parents to lean on when it seems like no one understands.
Ways to make it better...
I had swallowed my pride and accepted help earlier.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
financial donations during this tough economic economy.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Thank you!
