Review for Keeshond Sunshine Rescue Foundation, Excelsior, MN, USA
Meet Pippin - a 12+ year old, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania puppy mill rescue. Pippin was terribly matted, suffered from Tapeworm and Roundworm infestations, had terrible yeast infections in both ears, he is blind in one eye, totally deaf, has a frozen shoulder and elbow from an untreated and poorly healed prior injury. He weighed in at a mere 28 lbs upon rescue and he also has irritable bowel disease, for which he requires special prescription intestinal diet food only available from a vet.
Pippin is responding wonderfully to all the love, rehabilitation and care with his rescuer/foster family. He is a spunky, happy little man who will live out his time before being called to The Rainbow Bridge In happiness, and in as good of health as possible.
Thanks to assistance from the Keeshond Sunshine Rescue Foundation, which is only possible because of donors like you, Pippin is alive and well, happy, healthy and just about ready for his forever family.
Please consider making a donation to the Keeshond Sunshine Rescue Foundation so other rescued Kees in foster care who are in need can receive assistance.
Review for Recycled Paws Rescue Inc, Crompond, NY, USA
Imagine being a 9 week old, male, Keeshond puppy who was bought from an Ohio puppy mill, then dumped at a high kill shelter a few weeks later, because of a birth defect. This birth defect made this him unable to urinate in a stream or in a sanitary manner. His condition was easily corrected with the help of a veterinary surgeon... So, what kind of person would bring this lil guy to be killed for this? Well, a heartless and clueless person that's who. I was told, his intake paperwork said, he should be put to sleep because he was "defective!"
This little guy was placed on the euthanasia list! :(
A worker from the shelter in Ohio called Recycled Paws Rescue in NY, and they traveled to Ohio and yanked this pup from death row. Recycled Paws Rescue (Lisa-Marie, her team and volunteers) vowed to save this lil guy, like they have done for countless other unwanted, abused and/or neglected animals all over the country. Their vet enlisted the services of a urologist to perform the needed surgical procedure. Recycled Paws Rescue privately raised about $1,200 toward his veterinary bills totaling about $2,100. The remaining balance had rescuers worried about how they were going to pay it. The outstanding balance was generously covered by another Great Non-Profit organization, the Keeshond Sunshine Rescue Foundation (KSRF). It is their mission to offer vetinary expense financial assistance to Keeshonden in foster care/rescue. Please feel free to check them out and feel free to leave your thoughts, feelings, and share your love on their review page.

It will greatly assist them in continuing the great work they have done, like helping this little guy now named Cooper and another Rescue group (Recycled Paws Rescue). It warms my heart to see rescuers helping other rescuers, because after all, it's all about the animals and building bridges.
I'd like to thank KSRF for their kind and generous work and everyone else involved in saving Cooper and giving him a new leash on life! He's doing very well in foster care thanks to you and will live due to your loving kindness, generosity and hard work!
