I have participated in several Random Acts events, most recently E4K (Endure 4 Kindness) not only do they raise money but they are fun and uplifting for those participating. It's not just to raise money but to also do kindnesses at the same time and benefit the people raising funds. I think it is probably the best charity I have ever had the good fortune to discover. Their good works are rarely giant projects like the Haitian Center so you may not see big articles on them but they have a very transparent accounting of who they are, what they do and where their money goes. The people that run it are volunteers so the money does NOT go to pay big salaries of CEOs and the like which always turns me off about some of the big name charities. If anyone says their financials are difficult to find are simply not telling the truth since it took me 8 seconds to find them.

Furthermore, I am questioning the validity of this spate of 1 star reviews and am pretty certain there has been some sort of organized targeting of this charity by someone disgruntled about something other than the way this charity is run. They have stated blatant falsehoods about this charity. It is shameful that people would try to damage the reputation of a really great, unique charity based on doing kindnesses big and small due to other motivations and I hope they realize this is not the way to go about things.
