Review for Coloradogs Rescue And Rehab, Fort Collins, CO, USA
I am an animal lover - all animals. I lived in the country - on a farm - and have raised horses & have had a wide variety of pets (4 children who had my same love of all animals & they learned to beg really well - yes I'm a softy). I got connected with Coloradogs through Facebook & while I have never owned a Pit Bull, I have always felt that they have been given a bad rap. My son asked me, a number of years ago, if he could get a Rottweiler. Only knowing the "reputation" of these dogs, I was a bit nervous, but I also knew that "training a dog does make". I told him yes, but with the understanding that he worked with her. She was the best dog - a true love (her name was Pebbles - from the Flintstones) and all who met her, human or animal, fell in love with her also. But I did research on the breed before I said yes. Pit bulls fall into the same category - do your research. These dogs were bred to be "Nannies" - loving, caring, and protective of their "family". Only really sick people will take a loving muscular animal and create something, through abuse, to make them what they aren't. And only sick people will feel that this abuse is acceptable if it gives them some sort of horrible idea of entertainment. Coloradogs sees and knows this & their hearts are super huge. I am so proud to be related to one of the members of this group & I know her love is real, her research & knowledge of these dogs is extensive & I am so proud of the work she is doing!!!
