Review for Able Flight, Chapel Hill, NC, USA
Shortly after my paralysis, I never believed I would fulfill my lifelong dream of flying. As a quadriplegic, I have limited hand function and no movement in my legs. I had often thought about ways to overcome this challenge, but I never imagined there would be an organization dedicated to making this dream a reality. Able Flight has given me an amazing gift, and I feel greatly in debt for everything they have done. It was a pleasure to work with my instructor Matt. His willingness to adjust his teaching techniques in order to overcome the difficulties for my particular limitations makes him a perfect instructor for Able Flight. The whole Hansen group really made me feel like I was part of the family. I am still in awe that there are people like those at Able Flight, who are willing to give so much of themselves to help others fulfill their dreams.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my confidence to take on new challenges .
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
dedicate a portion of funding to additional flight time after trainees recieve their licenses.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the chance to fly solo.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
incredibably supportive and amazing!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
change the sterotypes associated with what people with disabilites can accomplish.
Ways to make it better...
I had learned about this organization sooner!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
funding.
One thing I'd also say is that...
this program has the ability to change lives if enough people believe in it and continue to support it.
