I saw a feature on Food Network on " Hunger in America" and Minnie's Food Pantry was one organization that was featured. I couldn't believe the hunger need in my own city and immediately knew I had found the place I had been looking for to volunteer. My first day at Minnie's was the most positive, upbeat experience I have had in a long time! All the volunteers are so excited to be there and I was amazed at the amount and quality of food they provided families each day! I had the pleasure of getting to meet some of the families, serve them coffee, water and snacks and occasionally to hear their story. These people were treated with such love, kindness, and respect by everyone they came in contact with and I am proud to say I am now a member of Teamminnies!
