I am very impressed with The Heising-Simons Natural Disaster Risk Reduction GeoHazards International–UC Berkeley Student Internship Program. I represent the William Averette Anderson Fund for Hazard and Disaster Mitigation, Education and Research, aka the Bill Anderson Fund (BAF).

The GeoHazards Internship Program (GHIP) provides a wonderful experience for students to become involved as undergraduate students. It's my hope that there will be collaboration between our two organizations as the BAF develops allowing us to learn from the successes that have guided.

My late husband, Bill Anderson, had a tremendous amount of respect for Brian Tucker and his leadership at the helm of GeoHazards International. I look forward to working with him in the future.
