Review for Able Flight, Chapel Hill, NC, USA
I became a paraplegic 24 years ago. I've lived my journey in an able bodied world and have always sought out to do things that enable me to be out of my chair. To feel the freedom that we all are looking for. Able Flight has allowed me to make a dream come true by becoming a pilot. My relationship with the organization has been one of the best encounters I have experienced in my life. They have allowed me to fulfill a dream of obtaining that freedom and also giving me the greatest challenge of my life. So many different levels of who I am have been involved with becoming a sports pilot and the support of all involved with Able Flight have been there to help me through each step. As a little girl I dreamed of being a Flight Attendant....BUT...being the PILOT is so much better!! I can't say THANK YOU enough for all that Able Flight has given to me through my experience!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
becoming a sports pilot. They are a non-profit organization that I speak to others about on a daily basis.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
be calling Charles for help!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the people who have come into my life and the support each of them has given me.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
there for me each step of the way. My challenge became theirs in helping me get there.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
allow all disabled people who wanted to become pilots actually do it.
Ways to make it better...
the weather gods cooperated with the schedules of myself and my instructors!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Funding.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Able Flight is an organization that ultimately gives disabled people wings to fly but the realty is they are all ANGELS sharing their wings with others.
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
