I am a volunteer at Lewis & Clark Elementary in Liberty. Recently, I took a second grader into the hall to read a story with me. But before she would read, she said she wanted to tell me something. She proceeded to tell me about her exciting morning spent at Operation School Bell. And she said, "I got to pick out things all by myself, and it was BETTER than Christmas"! I found out later from her teacher that she had shared her experience with her entire class with the same enthusiasm that she'd expressed to me.

I realize that the material things given to this child were certainly important to her. But more impressive was what the Operation School Bell ladies had instilled in her. She was so proud and felt so special in how she was treated. I believe these ladies showed her respect and caring, and she left feeling like a very proud and important little girl. How great is that!

My thanks and admiration to each of you at Operation School Bell for not only WHAT you do for kids, but also HOW you do it. Congratulations on a job well done!
