Review for Mobile Art Program, Austin, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As a professor, I have had students who interned with the Mobile Arts Program. All had a terrific experience! Theresa has created a program that not only brings purpose and joy to older participants but also gives volunteers a chance to experience a truly inspirational organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the joy it brings to participants.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

clone Theresa!! She does remarkable work on a shoe-string budget.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

seeing tremendous pride and big smiles on the faces of participants.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind and caring. My student interns learned the value of "giving back". Many noted their intention to continue doing volunteer work with various organizations after graduation.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

develop pride in many more older participants, who may not have known the sense of purpose that the Mobile Arts Program develops in its participants.

Ways to make it better...

n/a

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

There are not enough Theresas to go around! Her heart is really in this nonprofit - and it shows on her face and the faces of participants and interns.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I have so much respect and affection for Theresa. She has taken her love of art and used it in the finest way imaginable --> to help others. And it's working!

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  General Member of the Public & I attended art shows in which Theresa's artists displayed their work. A wonderful experience!.
