Compassion and Choices is offering people the opportunity to leave this world with dignity and without the pain and suffering that sometimes goes with the passing. The work they are accomplishing throughout the country is imperative so that people may die with dignity. The educational tools they offer are priceless and help people navigate the (sometimes uncomfortable) inevitability of death. Dying should be on OUR terms - not left in the hands of the state or federal government. Compassion and Choices lobbies for all of us in their fight for death with dignity.

Main Stay is a special place. It's a safe-haven for not only the riders that benefit from the equine and small-animal therapy - but also for the volunteers who spend countless hours at the farm. Its the highlight of my week, my escape from the hectic "real world" life we all encounter. Main Stay is a second family to me. Its a place I'll know I'll be accepted for all my talents - and my flaws; yet never judged. It's a place where people come to be healed and to learn all in a loving, caring environment. Each week my riders give to me just as much as they are getting out of their lessons each week - how to be compassionate and caring...
