Review for Joy of Music Program, Inc., Worcester, MA, USA
Over the past 14 years I have been both a student (drum, recorder) and a volunteer at JOMP. A retired librarian, I set up and maintain the program's library of several hundred music-related books and several thousand pieces of music. In addition, I lead a weekly drumming group at a nursing home, with particularly satisfying response from Alz- heimer's petients. The high standards maintained by faculty and staff together with their commitment to inclusivity have made JOMP a Worcester county treasure.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the instruction I've taken. Once intro- duced to drum and recorder, I find they have become focal to my life and that I am able to grow through music - highly desirable at age 77!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
being part of a vital organization which brings together people of varied ages, aspirations, and abilities in a positive atmosphere.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
dedicated, goal-oriented, communicative and positive in their outlook.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
reach out to the community even more: more public school programs, more events, a mobile unit, more scholarships, hence a larger facility, increased faculty and staff, a library not reliant upon donated material.
