Review for Center for the Arts of Homer Inc, Homer, NY, USA
I've lived in Homer for 18 1/2 years, and I still can't believe the world-class facility the Center 4 the Arts is, and even better, the incredible talent that comes here year after year! The concert hall--an old Baptist church--still has padded pews, a balcony, flawless acoustics, and a sweeping grace and gentility. I've had a truly religious experience here at many concerts. And there's simply no mediocre seat in the house--they're all premium! It's really nice to be able to mingle, sip, nosh, wander, or just vegetate before the shows in the social room. I love the village of Homer anyway, but I can walk from my home to see Arlo Guthrie, Guy clark, "The Graduate" or a community theater production in five minutes. The Homer Center 4 The Arts is clearly a GREAT NONPROFIT!
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
leading a standing ovation for "The Prime Time Funk Band" this month!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
find time to volunteer.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the incredible musical artists who play at this venue.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
caring, passionate, gregarious, proud of their work, and excited to be there.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
only get better, and in dozens of ways that would benefit the village, the county, kids, the arts, and quality of life.
Ways to make it better...
draft craft beers were served.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
funding general improvements to the structure and grounds.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Daniel Hayes is the perfect XD for this place!
