My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Tamarack Foundation Inc, Charleston, WV, USA
I went to the gallery to pick up and exchange prints I have for sale in there. Karen Lily was leaving as curator, (I did not know this at that time.) I left my prints with her, they sat there in the gal. office for I don't know how long. At least 3 wks. It was way after she left, I had nothing in the print bin for sale. I called the new curator Christene Humphrys, and she put them out for sale. It was not her fault, but it was not very good service either.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the new curator christene humpreys is a very nice person and is easy to work with. I am now getting ready to do an art show there soon.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would make it okay to sell my note cards in the gallery. they are the same as my prints, (only smaller.) as of now I would have to jury in again under crafts to sell them. I don't think that is fair! Why are the crafters treated better than the artist?
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Tamarack is a beautiful place, alot of nice arts and crafts, that everyone can enjoy. very high quality (with only juried in members.)
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
were very nice and helpful, they knew alot about there merchandise.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
enlarge to accommodate more artist and crafters. a larger variety of arts and crafts. work areas etc. more advertising! always more advertising!
Ways to make it better...
if the old curator karen lily had been more truthful, and not have such an icy attitude toward not just to me but to everyone.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
bringing in the customers! they need to advertise more, and advertise not only crafts but arts, (gallery) prints, origs. etc. a better online service for selling also.(alot of crafts, not much art!)so far!
One thing I'd also say is that...
I enjoy being a member of Tamarack of WV. It makes me a proud to be a wv artist. and we are the best!
