Review for Via Services, Inc., Santa Clara, CA, USA

Rating: 4 stars

My first experience with VIA services was through a partnership with the Rotary Club of Cupertino. The Rotary club provided some money and assistance for a three day long respite camp up at VIA’s Camp Costanoan in 2006. The experience was extremely rewarding for us as volunteers to see the impact that VIA had on the children of special needs as well as the families. I agreed to come onto the Board spring of 2008. Here is where I have learned about the extensive programs that reach a breathe of areas for children and adults in Silicon Valley. VIA is expanding programs such as the "First step" which is for early intervention and a program called “Fit for Life” which speaks to the overall quality of life for the clients and are constantly looking for ways to serve the community better.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

for an organization that has been around since 1945, it has been able to evolve and change into a multifaceted organization with the foresight for inclusion and an strong advocate for special needs community members and their families.
