Review for Center for the Arts of Homer Inc, Homer, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

An absolutely outstanding venue that the performers obviously love coming to. A great mix of shows of all kinds. I actually travel a lot less to NYC and other places to see shows because of the great quality of shows at the Center for the arts. Nothing compares to it for over a hundred miles around!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I experienced the center mostly from attending performance shows, although I've also attended art shows. I wish that I lived close enough to take advantage of the classes and other events they put on.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Do nothing as well as it is already being done. And I'm the CEO of a fairly large company.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The physical quality and thoughtfull application of space at the center. The people behind the center obviously have some talent for organization and have just as obviously put a great deal of time and effort on getting things right. Very organized!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Without exception helpful and knowledgeable.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Become an oasis for the arts - oh wait - it already is. Maybe develop an artist in residence program?

Ways to make it better...

Hmmm. Maybe if there were a couple of other attractions of like quality and more and larger lodgings and restaurants available.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the same as everone else. Funding first and foremost. Maintaining the high quality of the people running it next. Maybe in reverse order.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I enjoy the arts and will travel to NYC, Boston, Ottawa, Philly or elsewhere for a days show. It is wonderful to have something of such quality so close.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
