Review for Fine Arts Chamber Players / Basically Beethoven, Dallas, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Fine Arts Chamber Players organization is the best kept secret in the DFW area. The FACP provides the music education for children who otherwise would not be exposed to the classical chamber music that is no longer the "most popular" for school age children. The FACP provides music programs and concerts to the community through FREE concerts. There is not any better way to promote chamber music than through the FACP. Everyone that is involved with this organization believes in the education and culturation of the children, the parents and the community to make our area a better place to live throug appreciation of the arts and FACP music. The talents of the staff are evident in the network of musicians that are networked through the organization to provide the BEST of the BEST in music education and performances. The many programs that FACP provide extend throughout the year and are continually improving and growing to meet the wishes of the public. After one participates in one event or concert of the FACP you are captivated by the ongoing work of the organization and you believe in the cause to provide FREE chamber music programs that highlight talent youths of this area who will one day be talent adults in the music business. There is not any better way to understand the mission, the work, the performances of the FACP than to visit one of the events, or go to the web site and see for yourself all the work that the FACP group produces for the children of this community.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

listening to the performances of the children who participate in the FACP programs. I was in awe of how a 10 year child can play a violin and an entire song without sheet music. It was unbelievably fantastic.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

give them more money.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that this organization benefits the entire community and provides music programs for free through out the year. The performances are top of the line performances that you can only find in music hall concert series.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

exceptionally talented, educated, technically knowledgeable, hard working, dedicated to the programs.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Fulfill the goals and ambitions of the Board and meet the music needs of the children and this community.

Ways to make it better...

the entire city population would have attended and listened to the some of the most musically talented people in this community.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

doing so much with so little funds.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I wish I had heard about the FACP when it first started.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
