Given the abuse that is often found within the micro loan sector, it is all that more impressive to see what Village Enterprise is doing with micro grants. Their approach to training, mentoring and supporting locals in developing and maintaining small businesses is like no other. I hope other non profits will look to Village Enterprise as an example of true empowerment and sustainability.

I have been a long time supporter of GAIA and finally had the opportunity to travel to Malawi with a couple of their doctors last year. Their work on the ground is impressive as is their local leadership. Exemplary human beings doing exemplary work.
