My daughter has been in Africa nearly a year, has served with this Point Hope, and it has proven to be a life-altering event for her. The organization is focused on improving the lives of the people of Africa, in particular the children. Giving them "things" is the smallest part of what they really do. They feed and rescue children, but greater than that, they teach and nurture and support their futures. Building schools, helping make sustainable farms, providing work opportunities, and supporting the orphanages is helping them build their own futures. The Point Hope staff she works with from the US and in Africa have been phenomenal in guiding and mentoring my daughter as well. The impact they have made on thousands of people around the world is immeasurable.
