I cannot begin to express how thankful and grateful my family and I were when Home Away Boston came to our rescue! This program has re invented my view on humanity. My son, Joseph was diagnosed with a seriously aggressive brain tumor just weeks after his first birthday. We're from Sacramento, CA and traveled all the way to Boston to get the after treatment my son needed. We stayed in a small hotel for about 5 days and that was not comfortable or cheap! Kim, the coordinator with Home Away Boston called us just in the nick of time to let us know an apartment became available. I cried when I walked into the apartment. Not only was the apartment very clean and fully furnished, but the refrigerator was full of food and so was the cabinets. I was so stressed out with everything going on - feeding yourself is almost the last thing you think of... but they had it all covered... I feel blessed to be able to have experienced this program. Kim was more like a best friend than an employee.. She was so personable, caring and attentive. We were very comfortable & fell in love with Boston !!!
