I found out about Hopekids while attending a hockey game. I saw families having a wonderful time and noticed volunteers passing out tickets and water, all while smiling and laughing. I did some online research about the organization and, two days later, sent in my volunteer application.

Being part of this nonprofit is life-changing. The work the organizers do is incredible and the kids and families benefit from those who make events happen. Those who are ill are not singled-out but instead celebrated for being there. Lisa and Bridget ensure everyone who meets the qualifications is given the opportunity to be part of Hopekids, and even some former kids (now adults) still feel attach to this "family." It's truly a blessing and I am grateful to catch a glimpse of the brilliant and compassionate work Hopekids is.
