I am not only a volunteer at Heartland, I am the mom of a dog adopted from Heartland in 2004 and a kitty in August of this year. It was my experience as an adopting parent that made me want to volunteer my time to help out at this wonderful shelter. My experience there was and is always very positive. The shelter itself is exceptionally clean and the animals well cared for. The staff is friendly, well-informed, and always have the animals' best interests at heart. Their knowledge of each animal and general information about the care of animals is immensely helpful . I would not hesitate to highly recommend Heartland to anyone looking for a new furry member to add to their family!
