East Palo Alto Kids Foundation (EPAK) has such a simple, but hugely impactful goal: Provide micro-grants to teachers for books, science kits, field trips, math manipulatives, small technology devices, and other curriculum enrichment materials. Easily apply. Receive. Done. I can’t think of a more deserving group of people than those that teach – but especially those that serve in an underprivileged district, such as Ravenswood. To support those teachers and to affect their students in this small but meaningful way is the elegance of EPAK.
