Review for The Humane Society of the United States, Washington, DC, USA
Owner of a computer/network repair and maintenance company. With exceptions of very short duration, I have owned animals all my life including, but not limited to dogs, cats and fish. I have never been involved with HSUS, but have been impacted by their agenda and the ideas they push.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
having to live with laws and ordinances they favor or have pushed to pass, none of which really favor the good welfare of the animals.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
actually start spending the majority of the budget on the animals either by helping local organizations and/or creating and/or running shelters for them. The rest of the money would be available to repeal legislation and ordinances they have helped pass p
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
I cannot think of a single thing.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
I've not actually met any staff, but, in my research of the organization, many higher ranking staff members were formerly involved with PeTA, and other radical organizations.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
actually spend it on helping animals rather than lobbying against them. However, with approximately 200 million US dollars available to them, another 10 million would not have much of an impact.
Ways to make it better...
HSUS actually did what they imply in there commercials that beg for money to "help" animals rather than trying to end ownership of animals, making animal products more expensive, urging the killing of animals, such as the dogs "rescued" from Michael Vick.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Not being found out for who they really are and there agenda.
One thing I'd also say is that...
It is unfortunate that one can not give them a zero star rating, It is what they deserve.
