I have been involved with FFHM for 20 years. I have led teams there 8 times and plan to continue until the Lord does not allow me to! I have LOVED every experience. It has been life changing for me and for so many of the people I have brought with me. 3 people ended up going back to volunteer for several months. The environment is so welcoming. Guest visitors/volunteers are greatly appreciated and made to feel that whatever job they are doing is so vital and important. The mission statement so clear and it guides the decisions and actions and attitudes of all the staff. The desire to serve and please God by serving the least of these is VERY apparent. One can feel the love and compassion and care for the children who reside there as well as for those in the surrounding community. It is a wonderful first time mission trip experience. Meals and comfortable shelter is provided. 1 week is certainly manageable, though we are always exhausted and joyful at the end and don't really want to leave. :)
