Review for Horsepower Sanctuaries, Paso Robles, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Redwings is a wonderful facility. The staff there are amazingly patient and generous with their time and knowledge. As someone who has a moderate phobia of horses, I can see what special people they are out there! I am so thankful for Redwings. It is unfortunate that so many people are unable to care for their animals. If Redwings wasn't able to provide care for these horses, I shudder to think what would happen to them.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the quality of life that the animals have that are there.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get the current staff in there as fast as possible! I would not kid ,yself that I would have the skills to do as good a job as they do!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

seeing the results of the dedication of peoples' lives to benefit animals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very knowledgable and patient. And appreciative!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

perhaps expand to accomodate even more horses...and have a larger staff to keep up, I'm sure.

Ways to make it better...

I could beam myself there lol- it is a long drive from San Jose, but well worth it!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the growing number of animals that need their help. One day people will be better educated, and start to believe that their role with animals should be an endeavor which should last the lifetime of that animal

One thing I'd also say is that...

We NEED Redwings. The animals NEED them. Facilities like Redwings exist because people put these animals in these situations. The horses didn't have any say in the matter. It is our duty to be sure to try to make things right by them.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
