HopeKids is a huge blessing for our family. We live in Tucson, but most of our son's doctors are in Phoenix and the Valley. For us to be able to be a part of HopeKids is such a blessing because it makes us have a place to fit in, a group of people who instantly are kind and welcoming to us. We are on a fixed income and often couldn't afford to attend the activities that they offer tickets to and it's just a blessing all the way around. It offers compassion, and friendship, and a break. That is priceless! Highly recommend HopeKids and hope more places will connect with them to help them continue to offer fun activities and support.

HopeKids does just what it's precious name sounds like it would do. Gives hope to kids...a smile, a activity...being able to be a part of something when often that would be the very kind of thing a family would love to be able to do, or attend but couldn't afford or didn't feel their child would be accepted.
We live in Tucson, AZ and majority of the HopeKids activities are currently in Phoenix. Many of our son's doctors and care team are in Phoenix so as often as we are able Nathan loves to get to do a special activity. Unfortunately it's not as often as we'd like, but we are hoping that will be able to change soon.
This past spring he was able to go to a real Golf Camp there in the Valley and had a ball. They not only support families by having a safe and encouraging place where they can connect and become friends with other medically fragile children but what they offer goes beyond a ticket to a basketball game, or movie show... They pray. They truly do and they let you know that no matter where you are in your families journey with whatever your child's diagnosis is, that you are truly not alone. That there are other's who care and come along side you, even if at a distance. Hope Kids is a blessing not only for the children, but for the entire family. I am hoping that they will be able to receive even more funding at some point and hopefully have a chapter for Southern AZ someday. For now, just as it is~we are feeling very blessed to be a part of it.
