I have visited the FFHM facility near Oaxaca, Mexico 2 times now. Both times it was a great experience and I hope to visit again. The facility is a safe place for children and young people who are need of a place to live for a myriad of reasons. For the most part I witnessed well adjusted and happy children and a staff of caring adults who served as teachers and surrogate parents. As both a teacher and youth worker I was impressed and pleased at the caring attitudes. They were also warm and open the volunteers who come to visit.
'I would recommend any group to come and volunteer there.
