My daughter was diagnosed with cancer in 2008. We became involved in HopeKids shortly after that. In the last six years, we have had the opportunity to meet many families that are/were in a similar situation. The sense of community provided is incredible. We have volunteered our time, donated our money, and freely given our support to this worthy charity, as well as benefited from their caring. It isn't just about helping a child with a life impacting disease get through treatment. It is about family. Since my daughter's diagnosis and subsequent recovery, she has lost her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In every step of our life journey since being a part of HopeKids, they have always been there. They have been there in the form of an event, a card, an inspirational message shared with everyone, or a personal visit from the wonderful and loving staff. Hope and love will get you through just about anything, and HopeKids provides them both in abundance.
