Volunteering with CRESLI has been an incredible experience, and opened my world up to new and exciting possibilities. The work CRESLI is doing is vital. Providing the public with fresh and fun opportunities to encounter something new, while learning a whole lot about our coastal environment, and the animals that inhabit it. Artie gives his all to the organization, and is extremely knowledgeable and passionate.

CRESLI strives to educate and engage. I volunteered specifically on CRESLI's whale watching trips which serve a double purpose: to educate the public while also providing a chance to view various species of whales that inhabit out local waters; and to conduct vital research that tracks various species of whales and helps us determine how the climate affects mateing and feeding patterns on a yearly basis.

In addition to this I worked with CRESLI to jump start an interdisciplinary arts program, that introduces youth to vital environmental issues that effect their community, while working through these concerns through collaborative art projects.

CRESLI has already had such a profound impact on Long Island, and I can't wait to see what they do as years progress. Thank you CRESLI!
