Review for Impact Network, Brooklyn, NY, USA
This month, I began working with Impact Network, an innovative organization that aims at leveraging technology and research to deliver low cost, higher quality education in rural Zambia. My decision to partner with Impact Network and help expand its reach and scope was simple: universal access to quality education is vital. Education’s role in a person’s life is key to their development, aspirations, hopes and dreams. It is a quality education that inspires the mind and soul; it shapes our lives, and helps us identify our passions, purpose, and goals in life. I am privileged and fortunate to say that I received a quality education. I am beyond grateful to my parents and to the providers of my education too. But I was lucky, and I truly believe that.
Domestically and abroad, we have all seen a real crisis in the quality of education that many children receive. Current systems and providers of education often lack the tools, resources, and “blueprint” to sustainably deliver a quality education. What convinced me to work with the Impact Network (outside of the incredible people that are involved with the program), is its sharp focus on the “blueprint”. The ongoing development of Impact Network’s e-learning program called eSchool 360 is extremely exciting and inspiring. The eSchool 360 enables local teachers to provide an education for half the cost, making universal quality education possible. At the end of the day, the reality is it’s about creating a sustainable model for quality education that is innovative, repeatable, and scalable. I find myself lucky to be a part of it.
My experience has taught me that innovation, when combined with hard work and execution, can change the way we think, act, learn, and most importantly, impact others. I am very excited to be joining the team at Impact Network and look forward to helping fund and grow its remarkable mission.
