The Asheville Humane Society is an incredible organization with a passionate staff. They have gone beyond no kill and provide animals a life worth living. They have a live release rate of 93% which is outstanding for an open admission shelter!
They are transparent in everything they do. They are fiscally responsible and accountable for all their actions. Asheville Humane Society is a model for others to follow.

The Asheville Humane Society is an incredible organization that goes above and beyond to meet the needs of vulnerable animals in our community. They go "Beyond No Kill" in their approach to animal welfare. They not only operate the County Shelter but they have a wonderful Adoption Center. They also provide services out in the community to help with animals in need.

They are a great steward of the funds they receive through donations. I like the idea that my donations stay local and benefit animals in my hometown. They also have the most hard working and dedicated staff to take care of the animals they receive.

This is an incredible organization! They are on the cutting edge of animal welfare in our community. No longer do they simply wait for residents to come to them for assistance, they actually go out into the community to help needy families with resources to ensure their pets are safe, healthy, and thriving! Thank you AHS for your leadership.

Asheville Humane Society has received the highest possible rating for their stewardship of donations. Contributions are spent on life saving programs for the animals. You will not find a more caring and compassionate staff!
