Since my husband's injuries demo his second IED blast the GBF has shown him and myself that we are not alone in this world of transition from warrior for 20 years to a man with limitations.
The GBF has also been instrumental in helping us keep our daughter in collage when most other foundations turned thier backs on us.
The steel mags sisterhood has been a lifeline for me since moving away from all SF communities. I have made life long true friends who understand what it is like to support a wounded Green Beret. Working with the foundation to continue to grow and do more to support our new members had given me a purpose and identity other than my husband's caregiver.
So much information is also exchanged between members on all issues that all SF wives and soldgier deal with at some point in thier career makes this site a great value to the community.

With all the groups I have been apart of ,this group has made me relieve i am not alone. They have come to my families aid when needed, and I have learned what it is like to have sisters. My husbands recovery from war and personal death the foundation really helped me help him to rejoin the public after 23 years of deployments. this group his truely a life line
