I was fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Machala, Ecuador with Blanca's House as a medical student in February 2014. It was truly amazing how much good work the volunteers of Blanca's House did for the people that they provided free surgeries for as well as their families. It was gratifying as a student to be able to make a difference in people's lives and participate with a group of people that care about humanity and that are willing to work really hard and give of themselves for the sheer good that it brings. I hope to have the opportunity to participate with Blanca's House again in the near future.
