In February 2014 I had the utmost honor of volunteering as a medical student with this fantastic organization. Although I am a native of Ecuadorian, I have spent most of my years raised in New York, and it really was the most rewarding experience not only being able to give back to my community as a doctor in training, but to have the pleasure of working with such a fantastic group of organizers and medical physicians/surgeons that carry on such selfless acts of kindness to patients in such need. While a short lived mission trip, I do hope to continue working with this wonderful organization, as it is more than obvious than their intentions to provide superior medical care to disadvantaged communities is genuine, true in character, and in heart. The care, patience, and time that these individuals take to raise funds throughout the year, to make these mission trips as seamless, organized, fun, educational, and eye opening is a feat in itself, and for that should merit extraordinary recognition.
This is a phenomenal organization!!!
