Review for Avenues 12 Women's Recovery Houses, Daytona Beach, FL, USA
I walked into Aves 12 Women's Recovery House on Nov. 7,2010 at the lowest part of my life. I was spiritually, mentally, and financially bankrupt and in very poor physical health. Having been in several treatment centers as well as other institutions I had pretty much given up all hope of ever getting clean and returning to life as I knew it before my addiction became active. As a registered nurse I knew that my disease was progressive and fatal, but had lost the ability to live without the use of drugs and perform the basic activities of daily living. Aves 12 provided a safe, structured, recovery based home which introduced me to clean and sober living which gave me the foundation my recovery is built on today. Next month I will have 4 years clean and sober, have returned to being a productive member of society and my life is better than I ever imagined it could or would be. I am still active in activities at Aves 12 as it is such a pleasure to give back what was so freely given to me. I have witnessed so many miracles as other women come to Aves 12 and have the same experience as myself. Myself and my family will forever be grateful to Aves12 for giving me the opportunity to recover from active addiction.
