I am so grateful that our county contracts AHS staff to care for our shelter animals. It's a great feeling knowing that lost and homeless pets are being cared for by true animal lovers. And I love all of the programs AHS has in place to help pets stay in their homes. Call them and they will give you a tour! I did and was so impressed. Make sure you ask to watch the doggie playgroups! It's the best.

There is a very good reason why Asheville Humane Society is considered the Gold Standard of animal shelters nationally, with their innovative programs, groundbreaking services and deep compassion for the animals. When other groups ask me what their goals should be, I tell them to visit AHS and strive for that kind of care, professionalism and commitment. Best of the best!
