Review for The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, Harrisburg, PA, USA
The Foundation for Enhancing Communities has been very helpful to me in finding funding for my organization, Downtown Daily Bread. In what was formerly the Greater Harrisburg Foundation, Rosemary Brown and Janice Black were the first people I met who instructed me in the procedures and basic thinking of grantees. The Foundation was and continues to be a sounding board for my ideas involving a wide range of non-profit concerns and ideas.

I can't begin to know how to improve the Foundation, as I think it is managed very well.

getting to know the staff of the foundation, knowing I can talk with them informally, and knowing I can come to them when there is a need in my organization. If they cannot help us, they can refer us to others who may.

they hadn't used the Donor Edge program. I thought the program was more complex than expected.

I might suggest that the Foundation do more to bring non-profits together in some way. However, I suspect they have more pressing issues to address.
