I have volunteered with EI in some capacity since 2006. Having lived in Nicaragua for 3 years I know first hand what a terrific organization EI is. I am thrilled to still see the same children in the program every year I visit Nicaragua. The childrens self esteem is higher, they are doing better in school, and are growing to be confident individuals. It is great to see an organization that is teaching the older children skills like tutoring the younger children, photography, and mountain biking. The parents have also become much more involved in their children's lives and education.
