My Husband and I had been hearing a lot about the Animal Compassion Team and all the magnificent work they do in our community. We would often see them at our Veterinarians' office bringing in their adoptables for treatment and all the staff there raved about them as well. When we lost our 17 year old Cocker Spaniel, it took over a year before we felt ready to open our hearts to another dog. We had two rescue cats and finally started looking for a dog over the course of many, many months...checking the various rescue groups' adoption events and web pages. One day Animal Compassion Team posted a picture and description of a new rescue they had pulled from an area shelter and we just knew he was the boy for us!!! We contacted Brenda and expressed our interest...there was only one catch...our cats had now taken over the house so,. any new family member had to be "cat friendly". Brenda was so patient and understanding and promptly set about "cat testing" our new little furbaby,,,,he passed with flying colors and we quickly filled out an adoption application and made arrangements to meet him and take him home! We were impressed by the very thorough application and vetting process they used...after all, our precious baby couldn't be allowed to go home with just anybody!!! We were approved and adopted our new little one immediately. We could not be more thrilled with Animal Compassion Team and our newest little "Son". We've even made a provision for a donation to this wonderful, caring organization in our will. They are simply Angels on earth!
