The Starfish Foundation along with Healing Warrior Hearts is amazing! I can't say enough good things about this program. This isn't something offered anywhere else the VA doesn't do what these people(all volunteers) do. Pat along with her staff took us on a journey to healing our relationships and ourselves. I was able to talk about PTSD and what it has done for the first time since getting out of the military, I was able to communicate with my spouse on a level neither of us has ever explored until now.

I feel that the word needs to get to veterans and trauma survivors more so this group can help as many as possible, it's still a secret so I tell everyone who will listen about my experience. Im not a big hugger, the instructions you get may seem a little cheesy but have faith everything they ask of you has a reason. sign up NOW!!

Recently there have been a few one sided articles about the WWP and it's handling of funds.
I am a veteran who has attended several events that WWP organized. I can say they have been nothing short of awesome! They paid for my families hotel, meals and activities. Being able to talk to fellow vets that are experiencing the same difficulties has help me more than I could have imagined. People also say they focus on marketing to much . I say good!! without it who would know about the WWP. I have seen many other groups that are great in concept but in the end they do very little for veterans. You can't put a price on smiling when you have PTSD . The WWP makes me and my family smile!!
