I've been an enthusiastic supporter of CitiScience from its earliest days because I believe in its mission to support better teaching of science in urban schools and after-school programs. Under the able leadership of Thor Snilsberg, CitiScience is showing that an experiential, place-based approach to science education captures student interest, furthers environmental stewardship, and empowers teachers in just the ways our world needs. I've been an educator for over 40 years, and I can see the promise of CitiScience to make a difference. I hope it grows and grows!
