Review for Ink People, Inc., Eureka, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Ink People have been a unlimited source of information and support for myself and fellow artists within my company. I am continually pleased and surprised at the amount of time and effort that is offered (going far beyond what would be expected), I always feel as though they are specifically there just to help me and my organization grow and prosper - though I know that this is a constant for all the local organizations that seek the Ink People's assistance. My performing arts company has benefited through a program that the Ink People sponsor called Dream Makers; through this program my company has had the opportunity to present work and apply for grants that otherwise would not have been possible. They are a remarkable organization with an expertise hard to match but what makes the Ink People so special is that they truly care about the arts and insuring that all individuals have an opportunity to participate and get involved with local arts programming. My deepest thanks and gratitude to Libby Maynard, she has made the Ink People an arts organization that is a cornerstone of Humboldt County.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

grant writing, fundraising, and guidance. With their help I was able to promote a very successful fundraising campagne; receive funding for performing arts programing, and connect with other community organizations.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

acquire a new building with state-of-the-art facilities to accommodate all local artists and their areas of expertise.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their personal interest in whatever my organization is involved with. It is almost unbelievable how attentive and interested they are in what my organization is doing, I truly feel that they care about the success of my organization.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

always well informed and trained in the programs offered. Friendly, personable, and interested in making my experience beneficial to my organization.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Move to a new building and extend additional space for local artists.

Ways to make it better...

I had found them sooner.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

space.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I am so thrilled to have had the opportunity to interact with such an amazing nonprofit organization. I feel I have grown as an artist and learned so much as an administrator of a performing arts company.
