After receiving multiple combat wounds in Afghanistan, I was on the fence as to whether or not I would be able to stay in the Army and be successful in my combat-arms MOS. My doubts were put to rest after my weekend hunt with Ron and Wounded Warrior Outdoors. Ron took me for a turkey hunt in Kentucky and had me low/high crawling, jumping over fences, and shooting. The hunt was not only a once in a lifetime turkey hunt, but also allowed me to prove to myself that anything was possible for me post recovery. Thank you Ron and Wounded Warrior Outdoors! You have truly made a difference in my life!

As a wounded warrior, VAC has always been there for me. They have always promptly answered my request for transportation to and from my treatment center or to visit my family when I could get away from the hospital. The pilots are always incredibly generous and the staff shows genuine concern for me. Of all of the non-profit organizations I have worked with during my 2.5 year stint in the hospital, VAC has made the greatest positive impact on my life. Thank you VAC for all you do!
