No Limits for Deaf Children is one of the finest organizations for school-age students with hearing loss in the country, and it is THE premier educational program for this population in the State of California. The faculty and staff are uniquely qualified to provide a wide array of services, free of charge to families who do not have access to private therapy or the opportunity to participate in quality children's theater programs. As a university professor and experienced spoken language educator, I partner with No Limits because it is a high-quality community-based program which is true to its mission. Hundreds of new teachers of the deaf in California have benefited from observations and fieldwork at their Culver City center. My student teachers consider their experiences at No Limits to be one of the most rewarding and influential of their preparation program. This successful university/community partnership is a model for our field.
