They provide invaluable information and perspective on plants, animals, and natural landscapes that government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and professional ecologists use to inform good land use decisions around the world. I've worked with them since their inception, and have found their data to be rigorous and reliable, their tools powerful and useful, and their staff knowledgeable and professional.
