Our meals on wheels of north eastern Pennsylvania serves over 800 meals a day. My mom and dad were meals on wheels volunteers for many years. I also had a chance to deliver meals and understand the worth of this organization. Not only do they provide a nutritious, delicious, meal for the elderly and disabled of our community but they offer daily visit to those who may be homebound. I know firsthand, since my mom now receives these meals. She really looks forward to the volunteers each day. This truly is all worthwhile organization. It is well run by a group of dedicated workers.
