I thought when I signed up to be a volunteer to read I would be giving a child the one on one they would need and help them by reading different stories and they would be learning new things. Little did I know, I was the one that learned the most and how good that feeling was to me. I think that if you do this kind of volunteering just once you will see exactly how I feel and how this child made a difference in my life. I can't wait to begin again reading to this child I was assigned to last year and find out about how her Summer was and how she is loving first grade. I have volunteered for a lot of different kinds of things, in a food pantry, feeding the hungry, and helping plant a garden for a food pantry. My Read Aloud was, The BEST experience Ever!
