Review for Literacy Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA
I tutor ESL English with the GPLC. I get to meet wonderful people from all around the world. Being new to the area this volunteering has helped me feel at home. You are helping a real person and are doing something which is really appreciated. I have done this type of work before in another state, but here the GPLC gives training and support, which means you can be more effective in what you do. The materials provided are excellent and are chosen for each individuals needs. The tutor meetings help you to feel part of a team and we share tips to make lessons more interesting.
